In Dividium, a crime means a life sentence in Endlock — a brutal prison where the wealthy hunt inmates for sport. Bounty hunter Raven Thorne will do anything to save her brother Jed, even get herself arrested to break him out. Trapped in a cage built for killing, she must use every scrap of cunning and strength to survive — and wrestle with a dangerous, unexpected attraction to a prison guard whose loyalties are unreadable. High-octane, romantic, and ruthless, this is a story of forbidden love, found family, and one woman’s fight to tear down a vicious system.
My Review
Thank you so much to Avon and Harper Voyager for the ARC!
In Dividium, criminals are shipped off to Endlock and then hunted by the wealthy for sport, which is as brutal and twisted as it sounds. If that premise alone doesn’t grab you, I honestly don’t know what will. Lately it feels like the book world has slipped back into its dystopian era, and I get why. When real life feels like it’s teetering, there’s something cathartic about watching characters claw their way through a broken system and survive it. I’ll step off my soapbox now, but this one scratched that itch perfectly.
Raven Thorne is exactly the kind of heroine I root for without hesitation. She’s sharp, capable, and stubborn in a way that makes every decision feel earned. The fact that she deliberately gets herself thrown into Endlock to save her brother says everything about her. Inside the prison, the tension never really lets up. Every corner feels dangerous, every alliance fragile. And then there’s Vale, the guard with a conscience. I loved him, even when I didn’t fully trust him. Their dynamic added a layer of emotional conflict that made the whole thing more addictive.
The side characters were a standout for me. I got attached way too fast, which made certain scenes hit harder than I expected. There were definitely some heartbreaking moments, and they landed. My only real hang up was the romance leaning a bit too insta-lovey for my taste. I wanted more build up, more slow burn. Even so, this was a total win. I finished it eager for more and I’m already looking forward to seeing where the rest of the series goes.
